Bollywood stars made a style-packed entry on Day 4 of ongoing Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2017. Many popular faces like Nargis Fakhri, Vaani Kapoor, Saiyami Kher and Ranveer Singh flaunted their fashion statement down the runway. The Befikre-actor also confessed that walking on the ramp makes his palms go sweaty. TV serial ‘Dhai Kilo Prem’ actress Anjali Anand also walked the ramp for plus size collection.

Bollywood actress Vaani Kapoor looked like modern day royalty as she walked the ramp in a scarlet lehenga set with a stylised blouse accessorized with a metallic belt. The look was very Nawab- inspired with the use of colours like rust orange, bronze and gold dust used on the eyes to become synonymous with the collection.

Stopping the glamorous show for Anushree Reddy was actress Nargis Fakhri, who looked dazzling as she took the runway in a mustard scalloped zardosi lehenga with an ornate silk blouse and a delicate dupatta draped gracefully.

She sported a royal emerald neckpiece that looked class apart, and added a touch of sophistication to her glamorous ethnic look.

The inspiration for Reddy's collection was the Princess Niloufer of Hyderabad and daughter-in-law of the Nizam of the State, the collection was a royal bridal offering.

Designer Nachiket Barve collaborated with Lakme Salon's backstage experts to showcase the modern Indian bride through sheer timeless beauty of Greco-Roman goddesses, with Saiyami Kher as the show stopper.

Saiyami Kher, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Mirziya' looked stunning in a deep indigo, layered, scalloped, lehanga, choli with wreath embroidery and a sparkling dupatta as a showstopper.

The designer was showcasing his first ever-festive bridal wear collection at LFW, Barve's inspirations were the legendary Greek and Roman goddesses Aphrodite, Hera, Gaia, Artemis and Athena.

Meanwhile, ace designer Wendell Rodricks broke the stereotypes with his collection as the theme of Wendell's collection revolved around celebrating women in all shapes and sizes. His showstopper was not any big B-Town celebrity, but it was Anjali Anand of Star Plus show 'Dhai Kilo Prem'.

But the day ended with the King of Quirky fashion, Ranveer Singh. Though he did not walk the ramp but he did make a special appearance for Manish Arora's show.He was wearing a colourful blingy shirt paired up with a nice hat and sunglasses.

Vidyut Jamwal walked the ramp for Johnnie Walker- The Journey by Abhishek Paatni and Ajay Kumar.Read more at: evening gowns| cocktail dresses online

Montreal-based leather and suede manufacturer Bagatelle International Inc. is expanding its branded outerwear line Bagatelle.City to include apparel, and launching a lower-priced sister line called Bagatelle.NYC later this month.

Bagatelle.City, an advanced contemporary collection of leather garments, shearlings and furs in its third season, retails from $695 to $1,875. The 14-piece collection was inspired by minimalist Scandinavian design, with details such as handmade zipper pulls modeled after fine jewelry, and interior cosmetics slots and zipper pockets with removable card holders. The apparel collection, which launched this week, is made from stretch lambskin and includes pants, dresses, skirts and an asymmetrical one-shoulder top.

Bagatelle.NYC’s debut collection comprises younger, on-trend pieces such as quilted motos and washed leather bikers, a suede studded skirt and a suede patchwork skirt. Retails prices range from $119 to $299. Next season, product categories will expand into new fabrications including denim.

“We decided to introduce apparel under Bagatelle.City and to launch Bagatelle.NYC because we noticed there was a huge void in the market,” said Bagatelle vice president of sales Jamie Litvack. “The City woman and the NYC woman both value quality leather pieces, but they want innovative garments at competitive prices, so we had to take these two factors into account in order to determine how we could offer cutting-edge pieces by utilizing what we know best: leathers, suedes, furs, and great construction.”

Both brands are available at Bloomingdale’s and online through Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, and the brand’s e-commerce platform, Bagatelle.city. They will also be carried at better specialty boutiques across the country.

In 2000, under the leadership of owner and president Michael Litvack, Bagatelle International Inc. began expanding into new product categories to become a full-service apparel resource, including private-label for retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Ann Taylor, Chico’s and Urban Outfitters. The company also holds outerwear licenses for Badgley Mischka and Joyce Azria’s Avec Les Filles.

First-year wholesale volume projection for Bagatelle.City is $2 million and for Bagatelle.NYC, $3 million.Read more at: www.marieaustralia.com/sexy-formal-dresses

Speaking at the Beautycon Festival on Sunday, Chrissy Teigen drew the hands-down largest crowd, with fans spilling into standing-room-only spots in the aisles adjacent to hubby John Legend, seated front and center next to his wife's social-media-sensation mom Vilailuck .

"I think I was always a clap backer," said Teigen, in reference to her no-holds-barred persona, admitting that she often uses Legend as a filter. "He'll say, 'Do you want to deal with it after?' and that's always the big question. There's an aftermath for everything. You cannot be right ever. The sky is blue; no it's not. So just be happy now. Tweet what you want. Do what you want and you're gonna get backlash. And then maybe the next day we'll go into nuclear war and everybody forgets about it."

This explosive, off-the-cuff reference to imminent nuclear war with North Korea is signature Teigen. Yet the 31-year-old argued that, while she is well aware of world events, everyone needs a break from the "disgusting, evil, inhumane, depressing" news feed of late to maintain their well-being, admitting that she and Legend recently moved the dial from CNN and MSNBC to the 2017 film Fun Mom Dinnerstarring Toni Collette, "simply to get away from it."

In terms of defining beauty in this digital age, Teigen told the crowd of beauty influencers gathered for the annual conference that all the Photoshop and Facetune app retouching required for a "hit Instagram photo" leave her feeling "insanely inadequate" and fearful of what the future holds for 1-year-old daughter, Luna. "There have been times I've cried to John, where I felt like I would never have that body. Everyone has a butt now and curves and a little waist and that's not me … I'm jealous of those bodies and I want that, but I also feel like I really want to be cool with my body because of people like you guys …That's why I don't post many makeup selfies, because I don't feel anyone knows what a real face looks like anymore and it kills me that we have to completely wash a face or body out for it to get likes."

Getting real with her history as a supermodel, Teigen said she's observed many a stretch mark or scar on fellow mannequins, including Victoria's Secret angels, and wished those imperfections could be more widely shared to help women with body positivity.

She also readily admits to being an eater. A celebrated foodie, Teigen's sequel to the cookbook, Cravings: Recipes For All The Foods You Want To Eat, is in the works with 80 recipes ready to go; she shouted out that any ideas for the next 40 are welcome via Twitter.

"Right now, I'm really into roasted salmon with couscous," said Teigen. "We had a pasta class last night with [actress] Shay Mitchell; we love having people over at the house and learning to cook together, it's so fun … Listen, I love drinking. I love eating bad. But I think there's a fine balance with everything."

Choking back tears, the unplugged star recalled her battle with postpartum depression following Luna's birth and the relief she's found from the anti-depressant Lexapro.

"Would I prefer not to take something?" said Teigen. "Absolutely. But it works for me … I have such a great life. There's no way I could possibly be sad. I have everything I want. But it can happen to anybody. When you're in that hole, you feel like you’ll never be out of that hole. You can't even ever imagine being happy again. And I'm very happy again!"Read more at: year 12 formal dresses| pink cocktail dresses

THE economies of Townsville and Magnetic Island could see a gay-led recovery if the Federal Government bows to pressure to legalise same-sex marriage.

Operators in the wedding industry are unsure just how much of a lasting impact it would have, although they do believe there could be a wedding season boom as couples who have been prevented from marrying look to tie the knot.

"There could be a rush," New Park Suit Hire and Menswear owner Ron McGinty said.

Business operators on Magnetic Island say it alone hosts up to 300 weddings a year worth up to $10 million.

Mr McGinty said same-sex marriage would provide a boost to his trade although he already supplied stock to commitment ceremonies, civil unions and same-sex couples getting married overseas.

If same-sex marriage were legalised in Australia, he said business would probably "go through the roof". "We are already busy but we would be even busier," he said.

Mr McGinty said there was a period during the Howard government when it appeared same-sex marriage would be legalised and he noted a rush of inquiries.

White House Bridal Boutique operator Deni McClure said it would definitely mean more business not just for suppliers to the wedding market in Townsville but Australia wide.

"It would definitely be good for the economy in Australia," Ms McClure said. "I'm sure all the wedding dress shops - unless they had strong opposition morally or religiously - would be saying, bring it on."

Ms McClure said she had sold dresses to a couple who went overseas to marry.

Magnetic Island marriage celebrant Bernadette Smith, who provides services for up to 80 weddings a year on the island, said it would be an interesting change to the market.

"I am looking forward to it happening, not just because I am a marriage celebrant, I agree with it," Ms Smith said.

"People who provide all of the services will benefit. Sydney calls it the pink dollar and I think people underestimate the pink dollar."

Ms Smith agreed there could be a rush of people wanting to marry. "There is a big opportunity for Magnetic Island and for Townsville. If we can make it a destination for any type of wedding, everybody benefits," she said.Read more at: formal dress online| bridesmaids dresses

Shenzhen Ellassay Fashion continues to expand into the high-end women’s market. On Tuesday, the Chinese fashion and apparel company announced that it has acquired a majority stake in New York-based Chinese-American designer Vivienne Tam’s brand rights in China for 37 million CNY .

Shenzhen Ellassay Fashion most recently acquired French advanced contemporary brand Iro’s entire operations in March for 790 million CNY ($118 million) via a subsidiary. It also owns the Chinese mid-market brand Ellassay as well as the brand rights to German womenswear brand Laurèl in China and the brand rights to American apparel brand Ed Hardy in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. In fiscal 2016, revenue for the group grew 36 percent to 1.13 billion CNY while net income grew 24 percent to 197.95 million CNY.The company went public in 2015.

“Our goal is to eventually become a high-end fashion group,” chairman Xia Guoxin told BoF. “Vivienne Tam, the brand, has a distinctive personality and complements our current brand portfolio, in line with the company strategy. I have known Vivienne for many years; we trust each other a lot.”

Acquisitions of international companies have surged in China in recent years, as the country transforms itself from an export-dependent economy to a consumption-driven one. In 2016, textile producer Shandong Ruyi bought a majority stake in SMCP, the French group that owns affordable luxury brands Sandro, Maje and Claudie Pierlot. Since the acquisition, increased demand from China's growing middle class has fuelled sales. It follows the acquisition of British trench coat maker Aquascutum by the same group, as well as a minority stake in St. John by Fosun.

Vivienne Tam will run independently in China, but the designer told BoF that she will work closely with the design team at Shenzhen Ellassay Fashion. “[She will] assemble a design team with international backgrounds to develop products that resonate with the younger generation in China,” said Xia. The company plans to open the first Vivienne Tam store in mainland China later this year, with more to come in 2018.

Vivienne Tam was born in Guangzhou and grew up in Hong Kong before launching her namesake label in New York in 1994. She soon became one of the most prominent Chinese-American names in fashion, known for combining Eastern and Western cultural influences in her work. In 2005 she published a book entitled "China Chic." She recently closed her US boutique in New York City but retains an e-commerce operation and a presence each season at New York Fashion Week. Her sales are currently concentrated in Japan, where she has over 14 shops, and Hong Kong, as well as the Phillippines, Thailand and Singapore. She retains sole ownership of her company outside of China.

“It’s a dream come true for me to have a partner in China,” said Tam, adding that she had tried to open her own stores in the country many years ago. With Shenzhen Ellassay Fashion’s infrastructure and resources, she expects China will become her largest market in the next three to five years.Read more at: formal dresses australia
